Whether short stories or full-length novels, the craft of fiction has always been about depicting characters experiencing the challenges of life. The fiction writers of the Nebraska Writers Workshop are devoted to honing both language and storytelling skills through growing knowledge of succinct exposition, vivid description, and image-provoking action and dialogue. They seek a deeper appreciation of all the commercial genres in order to speak to targeted readerships. All strive toward professionalism and the confidence required to successfully publish.
